Daddy Daughter Roadtrip!

I just looove hitting the road with Sammie--she's an awesome traveler! We took advantage of her ski week by driving 650 miles to Boise, ID to visit my high school buddy Steve. He conveniently works at Bogus Basin Ski area; a mere 16 miles (and about 2,500 vertical feet) from downtown Boise. It was a great opportunity for Samantha to get some back-to-back ski days in.  As I was reminded, the bonus was that as soon as we left CA, everything was 1/2 price.
First run of the day

Summit Shot! Sun Valley is way off to the back left.

That there is my oldest friend I keep in touch with...

Snack time!

Snow Angel

We attempted a cross country ski session, but as I suspected, she got bored quickly. "Daddy, how come I'm not gliding fast?" Yes, lift-assisted skiing will spoil you.

Fantastic view on the drive back down to Boise. That's looking across to eastern Oregon.

Ringing the bell in front of the state capitol.

We also went up to some fantastic hot springs near Idaho City. Samantha had a $4 hot fudge brownie that was as big as her head! The place was all health food and zen too, which made it even funnier.

And lastly, here is a song that Sammie wrote while we were skiing and Uncle Toby put to music. Enjoy!  Sammie's Silly Ski Song!
