Daddy, Daughter, Doggie Roadtrip

Samantha had the week off from school for Fall Break, so we decided to do a little CA roadtrip. About 1,200 miles in all. SF to Sacramento, Yosemite, Big Bear, Santa Barbara and back to El Dorado Hills. Both Sammie ans Ace were FANTASTIC travel companions!

Made it to the top!

Ace was unable to make it up the last section, so he decided to stand guard against bears while we finished the climb.

Sammie took this picture of a buck in Yosemite Valley. Nice shot!

Almost ready for S'mores!

Looking up from our campsite at the Yosemite Valley dawn. Check out the crescent moon!

Every time I go to Yosemite, I am surprised that I am still surprised at how awe-inspiring it is.

Ace chilling after the ranger kindly asked me to put him back on the leash. He was chasing ravens that could have easily carried him off if they wanted to.

Cozy!

This is what happens when you choose to ignore warnings that the tent is coming down.
