a child's questioning face,
"how long," she asks, "since you've heard the flapping wings of butterflies,
when last did you forget yourself and smile at someone new--
have you forgotten kitten's fur, and pockets full of flowers?"

Samantha also got to celebrate her birthday at her pre-school along with the other kids with February births.
